Lucia’s blog – artist in schools
I’ve just finished my last in-school tour of puzzle and play.
We’ve had a brilliant response.
Each school has done something a bit different with this maths project
to suit their children’s needs.
I’ve had moments of self doubt wondering how I got here, prompting children’s maths when I can lack such confidence in the subject.
But the beauty of this project, and my role as a creative in it, is honesty with the children.
I’ve told them how much I’ve learned and am still learning, and that this is an exploration together.
The enthusiasm of pupils and support of teachers has been great.

I think it’s a great idea to take the kids to see the amazing crop circles and measure the amazing maths!
Will this ‘crop circle maker’ do one out in the fields for the kids and all to see?
I am puzzled by a farmer’s claim that the formation at juggers lane, Cheryl, near Avebury was made by your group. Very impressive, if true! Can you please clarify. I find no mention of it on your site,
Best Wishes,
Gwyneth
