Aliens? Anarchists? Artists? You?
Aged 13 – 25? We want you!
This week Break 3 launches ‘Measuring the Land’ ; investigating crop circles, maths and their relationship to the mysterious Wessex landscape.
Thanks to support from the Heritage Lottery Fund, over the next six months we are offering FREE art and heritage opportunities for young people to take part in design workshops, field trips, exhibition curating and archiving.
You will get the chance to work alongside artists, historians, mathematicians and heritage professionals.
Our first mission takes place this weekend: to look at the sort of maths and designs seen in crop circles and create our own circle-inspired grass prints on the lawn of Rook Lane Chapel.
Workshop 1: 10am – 1pm Saturday 16 June
Workshop 2: 10am – 1pm Sunday 17 June
Although particularly aimed at teenagers, you are welcome to bring your family (and younger brothers and sisters) if you wish. For a full intro to this and further opportunities with the project, try and come on Saturday if you can.
The resulting art works will be on public show as part of the Break 3 ‘Summing Up!’ exhibition at Rook Lane Chapel during Frome Festival.
